"Les Épenots" is one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Pommard appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. This vineyard is renowned for producing Pinot Noir red wines of exceptional finesse and complexity.

The "Les Épenots" vineyard is divided into two main parcels: "Les Petits Épenots" and "Les Grands Épenots." These vineyards are situated north of the village of Pommard, at the base of the Côte d’Or escarpment. The soil is primarily composed of clay and limestone, providing excellent drainage and contributing to the distinctive minerality of the wines.

Quiet dark color, this is a very impressive wine it’s got a lovely red fruit bordering the blue fruits it is pristine in it’s presentation pure fine and certainly a very modern looking pommard

The palate is classic of its cru, it is intense with gripping tannin and layers of fruit almost barolo like cut it grows and flows. Long term cellaring a certainty if you can keep your hands off it.
