Serrat Grenache Noir 2020
This wine is from the original plantings in 2001 and a portion from the newer planting of the same clone in 2011. The clone is an old Barossa clone BRVC38.
This is again a fragrant and detailed Grenache. It is crammed with trademark raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and wild strawberry fruits. There is a spicy edge, the aromas are heady and deep and keep evolving as the wine breaths. It is particularly perfumed and floral.
Silky, fine and poised it is a really delicious wine. The tannin structure and mouthfeel is juicy and intense and layered with raspberry and strawberry fruits. The length is there along with trademark chalky Grenache finish. It is so expressive and delicious right now you should have no hesitation to enjoy it right now.
