Domaine Bernard Moreau Bourgogne Blanc 2019

The vineyards for the Bourgogne are in Chassagne-Montrachet, just on the other side of the road from village (AOC) vineyards. The soils are a little deeper and heavier – mostly clay.

"Very pretty and attractively fresh aromas of pear, apple and various citrus elements give way to solidly concentrated middle weight flavors that possess good punch on the bitter lemon inflected finish. This could use a bit more depth but it's already better than the average example and worth a look."
Allen Meadows - Burghound

"The 2019 Bourgogne Chardonnay bursts with aromas of citrus oil, peaches and white flowers. Medium-bodied, perfumed and charming, it derives from parcels in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet that suffered in this year's frosts.  "
William Kelley Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The 2019 Bourgogne Chardonnay has a perfumed lime and citrus peel nose with tropical tones tucked just underneath. The palate is well balanced with fresh grapefruit and citrus peel on the entry, lightly spiced with fine energy on the finish. This was already bottled".
